India will face England in Thursday’s second semifinal of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 (June 27). The second knockout match is scheduled to take place at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. India has won all six matches played so far in the T20 World Cup 2024 and is coming into Thursday’s match after getting the better of Australia by 24 runs in the last Super 8 match played on Monday (June 24). England, on the other hand, finished 2nd in Group 2 of the Super 8 stage. The Jos Buttler-led side defeated the United States of America by 10 wickets in the last match played on Sunday (June 23).

In the last T20I played between India and England, Buttler’s men got the better of India by 10 wickets at the Adelaide Oval on November 10, 2022, to qualify for the T20 World Cup 2022 final.

India would like to take revenge for that defeat and qualify for the T20 World Cup final for the first time in 10 years.
