No Clash Between Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan and Suriya’s Kanguva as Release Date Postponed
On Sunday, September 1, actor Suriya announced that the release of his much-anticipated film Kanguva would be postponed, avoiding a clash with Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan. Both films were initially set to release on October 10, a date that had sparked considerable discussion among fans and industry insiders. However, Suriya has decided to delay his film’s release out of respect for Rajinikanth, a veteran and icon of Tamil cinema.
Speaking at the audio launch of his brother Karthi’s film Meiyazhagan, Suriya shared his thoughts on the hard work that went into Kanguva, which involved over 1,000 people working in challenging conditions for more than two and a half years. He expressed confidence that their efforts would be recognized and appreciated by the audience when the film is eventually released.
Suriya emphasized the importance of showing respect to Rajinikanth, stating, “On October 10, Vettaiyan is coming. We should give way to the film out of respect. He [Rajinikanth] is senior to me. He came to act when I was born. He has been an identity of Tamil cinema for over 50 years. I think it’s best if Superstar’s film comes out first. I believe you will be with me.”
No new release date for Kanguva has been announced yet.

The film’s storyline involves a warrior from 1678 who dies from a disease, and in the present day, a girl researches the disease that claimed his life.
The film also marks Bobby Deol’s debut in Tamil cinema, where he plays the antagonist, Udhiran. Directed by Siva and produced by Studio Green in collaboration with UV Creations, Kanguva features music by Devi Sri Prasad. READ MORE………………..
