Another daughter of India, PV Sindhu, makes the country proud yet again. The Indian badminton star, PV Sindhu wins the silver medal in the World Badminton Championship. She failed to win the Gold Medal after coming close to winning it. However, even a silver medal is good to make your nation proud which is what she did.
In the single finals of the World Badminton Championships (WBC), PV Sindhu lost to Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara.
The three sets read 19-21, 22-20, 20-22. She was very close to bagging the gold, but she failed to do so. However, people of India appreciated the efforts of their Badminton star for bringing the silver home. The finals took place on Sunday at Glasgow in Scotland.

Sindhu lost the first set by the close score of 19-21. However, she made a better comeback in the second set and won the set 22-20. In the final encounter, both of the professionals showed excellent temperament and character. It was a close set with nothing to separate the two. However, finally, Nozomi Okuhara clinched the victory to bag the gold medal for Japan. The match was back and forth with Sidhu leading 19-17, followed by Okuhara taking the lead by 20-19. After that, Sidhu equaled the set to take it to 20-20. In the end, Okuhaha won the set and the match.
