What a way to end the tour for Pakistan as they defeat World XI in front of their home crowd. They defeated World XI comprehensively by 33 runs to seal the 3-match T20I series by 2-1. The Faf Du Plessis-led World XI could only do a little in the series as they managed to win the second T20I a thriller.
Ahmed Shehzad scored 89 runs off just 55 balls and bagged the Man of the Match award. Furthermore, Babar Azam won the Man of the Series award due to his consistent performance for Pakistan.
For the third consecutive time, Pakistan were batting first. Their innings started off with a flash as they managed 61 runs off just 8.2 overs. Ahmed Shehzad, for a change, scored the majority of runs before Darren Sammy ran Fakhar Zaman out. However, that did not stop Ahmed Shehzad to carry his brisk start. Together, he and Babar Azam added 102 runs for the second wicket. Shoaib Malik’s cameo and Babar Azam’s knock helped Pakistan to an above-par score of 183.
