Gautam Gambhir might not be an active player in the field of cricket these days. But he certainly is quite active in doing social work in the society.
He has, time and again raised his voice supporting the martyrs of the Indian Army and their families. A few months ago, he had started a free community kitchen in Delhi that serves free food to the poor. A number of social media users including his fellow cricketers have thanked him for his efforts towards the betterment of society.
Raina’s wife Priyanka, who is set to host her own show on a radio station, will look to create more awareness towards a social cause involving the betterment of the status of women in society. Appreciating her effort, Gambhir took to Twitter to wish her best of luck for the noble cause.
Suresh Raina quickly thanked Gambhir for the wish and also lauded him for the work he has been doing through the Gautam Gambhir foundation. “Thank you @GautamGambhir! You are doing a tremendous job by supporting girl child education through #GGF. Really proud of your efforts for this cause,” the UP batsman tweeted.

Gambhir and Raina had contrasting fortunes in the start of Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament. While the Delhi-based cricketer hit 54-ball 66 against Punjab, Raina could only get 13 runs off 15 balls as Rajasthan defeated Uttar Pradesh by 4 runs.
The BCCI tournament’s sole purpose is to give talent scouts of various franchises a taste of new talent and an update on the form of some proven performers.
