The Atletico Madrid defender, Filipe Luis, talks about his admiration for the Argentine star, Lionel Messi. Also, he believes that the Real Madrid sensation, Cristiano Ronaldo does not deserve to win Ballon d’Or this year. He revealed that in spite of his admiration towards Messi, he has never asked for his t-shirt.
The Real Madrid forward is the favorite to win this year’s Ballon d’Or. However, Filipe Luis believes that Cristiano Ronaldo is not worthy of lifting it. Cristiano Ronaldo has already won the Ballon d’Or four times, including the one in 2016. Furthermore, his team has also won La Liga and UCL this year, which makes him the favorite to win it again this year.

The Atletico Left-back claims that there are other players who have consistently performed and deserve to win the Ballon d’Or. Filipe Luis said:
“The Ballon d’Or is a subjective matter. Cristiano hasn’t done anything until the last two months.”
Furthermore, he also spoke about the Barcelona forward, Lionel Messi and how he admires the Argentine. He said:
“I admire Messi, he’s never complained to me in any game we played but I’ve also never asked him for his jersey and never would. I came to win, not to say I played against Messi.”
