Arjun Babuta was born on January 24, 1999, in Jalalabad, Fazilka, Punjab. Due to his father’s job, he later moved to Chandigarh. He completed his undergraduate studies at DAV College in Chandigarh and, as of 2022, is pursuing journalism and mass communication at Lovely Professional University.
Inspiration from Olympian Abhinav Bindra
Arjun’s interest in shooting sparked during his college days. In 2013, he met Indian Olympian Abhinav Bindra in Chandigarh, who introduced him to coach Colonel JS Dhillon. Under Colonel Dhillon’s guidance, Arjun took up 10m air rifle shooting. That same year, he won his first medal at the Chandigarh State Shooting Championship.

Arjun has been actively competing in the 10-meter air rifle events for several years. He has been a member of the Indian Shooting Team since 2016 and is currently coached by Deepali Deshpande.
Awards and Recognitions
