After the IPL Governing Council (GC) meeting was held on Wednesday by the BCCI, the eight teams could now retain as much as five players.

It will be a great season of Indian premier league as both popular teams will make a comeback to the league after the ban of 2 years.
The IPL GC meeting happened earlier today when the retention policies ahead of the 2018 auction were decided. It has been decided that a franchise can retain a maximum of five players using one of the two combinations. Three pre-auction retention’s and two RTMs or two pre-auction retention’s and three RTMs.

The bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan was ready to buy MS Dhoni if he was available. Dhoni fans can keep supporting his team because they can still witness their favourite player in yellow jersey. Without a doubt we can say that Chennai Super Kings team is the most successful team in the history of IPL and it’s also the most popular IPL just because of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. MS Dhoni himself said that Chennai is his second home.

This is what CSK team director said

“We are very happy about it. But we haven’t applied our mind to it right now but we are extremely happy about it. (On MS Dhoni coming back to CSK as captain) Obvious, yes. It is a very obvious choice but we have not applied our mind beyond that,” quoted Chennai Super Kings team director George John.
