India and Australia are battling it out in the fourth ODI at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. Bengaluru has always been a happy hunting ground for the batters and in this match was no different.
since ball one and the platform meant India were looking to chase a big total. All the Indian bowlers, three of whom were playing their first game in the series ended up with economy higher than six runs per over. Australia finished with a score of 334 in their 50 overs leaving India a tough score to chase. Meanwhile, during the Australian innings former Indian captain, MS Dhoni and Axar Patel were involved in a rare incident.
MS Dhoni was not pleased with Axar Patel’s work on the field. The left-arm spinner was fielding at sweeper cover when
Mohammed Shami was bowling in the 45th over. Shami bowled a good length delivery which Travis Head played the shot early.
Patel, who was fielding at the third man area, could have done a better job. His slow reaction and even more lethargic return to Dhoni infuriated skipper Virat Kohli and so thus Dhoni.
Axar fielding at covers was busy appealing, instead of running towards the ball. This saw Australia steal another couple of runs. He gestured the youngster with his hand and told him what went wrong giving him a scary look.
