The Spaniard, Rafael Nadal, does it once again as he defeats Kevin Anderson to win the US Open crown. The win makes it his third US Open crown. Also, this win marks Nadal’s 16th Major Crown in his career. He defeated South Africa’s Kevin Anderson by the score of 6-3, 6-3, 6-4.
Kevin Anderson, before entering the match, had won only one set against the Veteran in their previous four outings. The pressure was on him, much more than the pressure on Rafael Nadal. However, we saw a whole new aggressive side of Kevin Anderson.

However, he was up against the World #1 player which is not easy, and all our aggressiveness does not matter if you make one simple mistake. Anderson, though, maintained high first-serve percentage against the Spanish. However, that was not enough to win the first set against him. He, with his brilliance, won the first set by the score of 6-3. Rafael Nadal dropped just four first serve points in the set.
In the second set, Kevin Anderson looked to change the fate of first serve points from the word go. However, that did not happen enough to get The South African a set point win. In the end, Kevin Anderson was 2-0 down as he lost the set by 6-3.
The third set, too, was the same story and the veteran won the set by 6-4 to grab his third US Open title.
