The Brazilian Superstar Neymar Jr. Has hit the ground running for Paris Saint-Germain after completing a rather Controversial 222m move from the Catalan giants Barcelona.
Many football pundits and legends criticised the Brazilian for leaving Barcelona calling it “A Money-Driven” move but The Superstar is on course to prove them wrong after giving two Man of the match performances his first two games.
He debuted vs Guingamp at the Stade de Roudourou. He sent Edinson Cavani through in the 62nd minute after a sumptuous pass. Cavani slotted it in for his only goal of the night. The duo linked up again in the 82nd minute this time The Uruguayan being the provider and The Brazilian being on the end of it. Neymar calmly finished the pass from Cavani for his first goal for the Parisiens.
His second game was even better as his scored twice and assisted twice as well, he made his presence felt in the 32nd minute equalising for the Paris club after Max Gradel had opened the scoring for Toulouse. He went on to provide the final passes for his teammates Rabiot and Kurzawa before ending the night perfectly after scoring in the injury time as his team ran 6-2 winners.
After the victory, the Brazilian Superstar had things to say about the current board of his former club, FC Barcelona.
Neymar said:
“Well, actually I have something to say: That I am disappointed with them.”
“I spent four years there and was very happy. I began happily, spent four years happy and left happy. But not with them.
“For me, they shouldn’t be in charge of Barca. Barca deserves much better, and everyone knows this.”
He is off to a flier in Paris. Let’s see if he could continue this form and finally dethrone Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo for his first Ballon D’Or.
