The destructive opener, Sharjeel Khan, receives a ban of five years from Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). In the second edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), earlier this year, he received a ban over the spot-fixing scandal.
The Pakistani batsman is found guilty of the charges against him concerning the spot-fixing scandal. As a result, he received a five-year ban, two and a half years of which is the suspension. This means, after serving a 30-month ban and some necessities, he can play cricket once again.

Asghat Haider, head of the three-member panel, said:
“Sharjeel is banned for five years, which has two-and-a-half year suspended, after the proceedings of the case.”
The panel was looking after the spot-fixing scandal during the 2017 edition of PSL.
He has not, however, received any kind of a monetary fine. Sharjeel Khan played for Islamabad United in the 2017 edition of Pakistan Super League. According to the sources, he accepted the spot-fixing allegations. He played two dot balls on purpose during a match in PSL.
Following the scandal, Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif were under immediate suspension. Apart from these two, there were other players involved in the same as well. The players include Nasir Jamshed, Mohammad Irfan, and Shahzaib Hasan.
His suspension period will start from February 10, 2017, the day he received his suspension.
