A brilliant display of batting by Thisara Perera and Hashim Amla help World XI to keep the series alive. Thisara Perera’s destructive batting mixed with Hashim Amla’s class helped them put 69 runs on the board for the fourth wicket. Thus, with their unbeaten partnership, World XI chased down the total with just one ball to spare. Thisara Perera won the Man of the Match for his sparkling all-round performance.
Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first. Morne Morkel was bowling good line and hitting good areas up front. He gave only two runs in the first over. However, Fakhar Zaman started living up to his name of a destructive opener as he began hitting the ball nicely. As a result of his quick knock, Pakistan scored 41 runs in the first four overs before Zaman lost his wicket to Samuel Badree.

Furthermore, Pakistani middle order all fired up, continuing their good form from the previous match. Due to their knocks, Pakistan posted 174 runs on the board.
In reply, World XI started off carefully with no blind hitting and putting the bad balls away. Tamim Iqbal was looking good, but his stay did not last long. World XI lost wickets at regular intervals with Amla keeping his wicket intact. Thisara Perera came in at five with six overs to go.
World XI needed 69 to win in the last six overs and managed to score 36 runs in the four overs. In the last two, they needed 33 runs to stay alive in the series. Thisara Perera made sure of that as they won the match after his astonishing power-hitting. He scored 19 runs off the penultimate over and nine runs in the last over to help his team home.
