Another victory for Team India on this tour, thanks to the tons from Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. After two close matches, we witnessed yet another one-sided affair. Sri Lanka were never in the game except for the first two overs when they got rid of Shikhar Dhawan in only the second over of the game.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli scored centuries which helped India post 375 runs on the board. Virat Kohli won the Man of the Match award for his quickfire century.

Having won the toss, Virat Kohli decided to bat first. It proved to be an excellent decision for them as they ended up giving a target of 375 runs. After losing Shikhar Dhawan in the second over, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma cruised India’s innings. Together, they added up 219 runs for the second wicket in just 28 overs.
It looked like India would post over 400 runs. However, Angelo Mathews’ two wickets in an over stopped the run leakage. Manish Pandey and MS Dhoni then added over 100 runs partnership thus helping India reach 375.
Indian bowling was on the mark since ball one and they did not let Sri Lankan batsmen settle. Barring Angelo Mathews, no other batsman looked comfortable. Kuldeep Yadav wrapped up the Sri Lankan innings by taking two wickets in two balls. With that, the team won by 168 runs and are now 4-0 up in the series.
