Striking early in second innings, Ravindra Jadeja struck twice in the same over to leave the Lankans reeling at 31/3. Suranga Lakmal was brought on as nightwatchman after two wickets fell but he lasted only two balls before the left-arm spinner removed him.
The play was called off due to bad light after 16 overs were bowled in the day. The visitors have a mammoth task in front of them in order to force a draw. The hosts, meanwhile, have only 7 wickets to take to wrap up the series with 2-0 win.
