West Indies once again prove to the world why they are the kings of T20I cricket. They defeated England in the only T20I match between them by 21 runs after an all-round display. Sunil Narine, once again, bowled tight because of which he won the Man of the Match award.
England won the toss and decided to bowl first. It was a complete batting paradise with the ball coming nicely onto the bat. With hard hitters like Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis on strike, you sure expect fireworks from ball one. That was exactly what happened, a complete carnage at the Riverside ground. The innings started with the Chris Gayle show as he scored 40 runs off just 21 balls. Evin Lewis joined in a bit later, and he scored 51 runs off 28 balls. The opening partnership was 77 runs, and the duo added 72 runs in the powerplay. However, after this, West Indies crumbled courtesy of astounding spells from Liam Plunkett and Adil Rashid. West Indies scored 176 runs at the loss of nine wickets, thus giving England a target of 177 runs.

In reply, West Indies were off to a flier after Jason Roy lost his wicket off the first ball. However, Alex Hales played a cameo of 43 runs off just 17 balls. That was not enough as England collapsed after Sunil Narine and Carlos Brathwaite’s spell. They could only manage 155 runs and lost all their wickets. With that, Windies won the T20I series.
