7 Day Diet Plan for Weight Loss

7 Day Diet Plan for Weight Loss
We are not going to starve you during this diet plan. You will have 3 meals and 3 snacks daily. This diet is specialized for Indians and mainly vegetarian Indians. The non-vegetarians can consume protein in the form of chicken on 5th and 6th day, while vegetarians can consume a cup of brown rice.
Day 1 (Monday)
On the first day of the “7 day diet plan for weight loss”, start this diet with as many fruits as you can have and avoid any vegetable intake. Eat muskmelon or watermelon as they are rich in fiber. You can also have other fruits such as oranges, apples or papayas. With this, drink 8 to 12 glasses of water in a day to keep you hydrated. Water is good for your body as it keeps you super hydrated and flushes out toxins from your body in the form of fluids.
Breakfast:
- 1 medium apple
- A few plums or an orange
Snack:
- 1/2 bowl of sliced muskmelon or 1 bowl of watermelon
Lunch:
- 1 large orange or mosambi
Snack:
- 1 cup of muskmelon and pomegranate salad
Dinner:
- ½ cup of watermelon
Day 2 (Tuesday)
On the second day of “7 day diet plan for weight loss” diet, consume only vegetables. You can consume them raw or cook them up but make sure no oil is involved. Vegetables are rich with all nutrients that are required to sustain your body. Potatoes will give you carbs, peas will provide protein, and carrots & beans are packed with fiber and every essential vitamin.
After a low-carb day one diet, this will restore carbohydrates in the body. This day 2 diet will provide you with energy to keep you going. Now, on day 2, you gotta stay away from fruits come rain or shine.
Breakfast:
- 1 cup of boiled potatoes
Snack:
- ½ bowl of cucumber
Snack:
- 1 cup of lettuce, spinach, cucumber, and capsicum

- ½ cup sliced carrots and a glass of lemon juice with a pinch of salt

Day 3 (Wednesday)
On the third day of the “7 day diet plan for weight loss”, you gotta stick to eating a combination of fruits and vegetables. But today you need to avoid potatoes and bananas.
Now as you are halfway through the week; your body would have begun to adjust to the new diet. After a day of eating only vegetables, now your body will welcome fruits wholeheartedly. The blend of fruits and vegetables provides you with high fiber and protein.
Make sure to drink 8 to 12 glasses of water to flush out all toxins from your body.
Breakfast:
- ½ bowl of muskmelon
Snack:
- 1 cup of pineapple or pear

- 1 cup of lettuce, spinach, cucumber, and capsicum

- ½ cup sliced carrots and a glass of lemon juice with a pinch of salt

- 1 cup of boiled broccoli and green peas

Day 4 (Thursday)
Now, it is banana day of the “7 day diet plan for weight loss”. Today, you have to consume at least 8 bananas a day. The consumption will be split into different meals of the day. With this, you also have to drink a big glass of milk each, at breakfast, lunch and dinner. If it gets monotonous, you can include a bowl of soup.
Bananas are packed with pectin, and they help with digestion. They also provide instant energy. They are rich with potassium, and low in salt. The milk is also a great source of potassium and calcium. The milk helps strengthen the bones.
Today, you have to avoid fruits other than bananas, potatoes and sweet potatoes. You could substitute bananas and milk with fig and soy milk.
Breakfast:
- 2 bananas
Snack:
- 1 banana
Snack:
- Milkshake (2 bananas + 1 glass of milk + a dash of cocoa powder)
Lunch:
- 2 bananas
Snack:
- 1 banana
- 1 glass of milk
Dinner:
- 1 glass of milk
Day 5 (Friday)
For the 5th day of the “7 day diet plan for weight loss” program, vegetarians can go for a bowl of brown rice. While, non-vegetarians can choose fish or chicken breast as a source of protein. You also have to eat 6 big tomatoes.
While preparing brown rice, note that only a minimal amount of oil is being used during preparation. Drink up to 15 glasses of water for your desired weight loss goal.
Avoid potatoes and sweet potatoes as well as bananas or any other fruit you have already consumed throughout the week.
Breakfast:
- 3 tomatoes
Snack:
- ½ cup of brown rice
- Sautéed assorted veggies
Lunch:
- 2 tomatoes
Snack:

- 1 tomato
- ½ cup of sautéed veggies
Day 6 (Saturday)
On the 6th day of the “7 day diet plan for weight loss”, you have to follow the pattern of day 5. Make sure vegetables are boiled and not fried.
Breakfast:
- 1 glass carrot juice
Snack:
- ½ cup of brown rice
- ½ cup of veggies
Lunch:
- 1 cup of cucumber slices
Snack:
- ½ bowl of brown rice
- ½ cup of veggies Chicken/cottage cheese
Day 7 (Sunday)
On the last day of the “7 day diet plan for weight loss” plan, you need a cup of brown rice with an assortment of vegetables and fruit juice. Eat a cup of brown rice along with a bowl of steamed/boiled vegetables for lunch. Drink a glass of sugarless fruit juice after every meal or snack.
Like the previous 6 days of the “7 day diet plan for weight loss” plan, avoid potatoes, sweet potatoes, banana, cherry, mango and pear.
Breakfast:
- 1 glass of orange/apple juice
Snack:
- ½ cup of brown rice
- ½ Sautéed assorted veggies

- 1 bowl of Soup
