The English pacer, James Anderson, joins the Elite club of 500 test wickets. He becomes only the third fast bowler to achieve this feat. Furthermore, he is only the sixth bowler, overall, to scalp 500 victims in test match cricket. Before entering the match, he needed only 3 wickets to join the 500 club. However, in the first innings, he could manage only two wickets, thus delaying the glory.
In the second innings, James Anderson removed Kraigg Brathwaite with an absolute Jaffa to reach the milestone. It was an in-swinging, full-length delivery which disturbed the timber. With that, Jimmy joined the 500 club.
