Q1: What is environmental hazard?

A1: Continuous or cross sectional state of events that has a potential to bring harm or threaten the natural environment that adversely affect the health of people is know as environmental hazard. These can be classified as biological, Physical, Chemical, Mechanical and psychosomatic hazard.

Q2: What is a natural disaster?

A2: An adverse event resulting in loss of life/ property damage or even economic damage of the country. This can result from natural processes which may include floods, earthquakes or volcanic eruptions etc. The severity of the disaster depends on the people’s resilience or ability to overcome the trauma.
