Transient analysis of R-C , R-L , R-L-C circuits(Series and Parallel combinations) for sinusoidal excitation -Initial conditions – Solution method using differential equations and Laplace transform.

**UNIT IV**

Network Functions

The concept of complex frequency , Physical interpretation of complex frequency, Trasnform impedance and Transform Circuts, Series and Parallel combination of elements, Terminal pairs or ports, Network functions for One-Port and Two-Port , Poles and Zeroes of Network Fucntions, Significance of poles and zeroes, Properties of driving point functions, Properties of Transfer functions, Necessary conditions for driving point functions, Necessary condtions for Transfer functions, Time domain response from pole zero plot.

**UNIT V**

Network Parameters – I

Two Port network Parameters – Z, Y, ABCD and hybrid parameters and their relations.

**UNIT VI**

Network Parameters – II

Cascaded networks, concept of transformed network – 2 port network parameters using transformed variables.

**UNIT VII**

Filters – I

Low pass, High pass, Band pass, Band elimination, prototype filter design

**UNIT VIII**

Fourier analysis of A.C Circuits

The Fourier Theorem, consideration of symmetry, exponential form of Fourier series, line spectra and phase angle spectra , Fourier integrals and Fourier Transforms, Properties of Fourier Transforms.
