The OnePlus 5T is the latest slick Android device from the Chinese smartphone start-up, released last month with a glorious screen.The device, which is an upgrade from the OnePlus 5 that was launched in June, boasts a six inch AMOLED screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio.
The screen on the OnePlus 5T looks like OnePlus’s take on Samsung’s Infinity Display which debuted with the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ earlier this year. Thinner bezels at the top and bottom of the device make way for the bigger screen, while the OnePlus 5T also features an improved camera.
But it’s in one other department where the OnePlus 5T has beaten the competition in a recent test.The phones tested include the iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, Google Pixel 2, Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Samsung Galaxy S8, LG V30 and OnePlus 5T.And in their battery charging tests, the OnePlus 5T came out the top.Tom’s Guide tested what percentage battery the phones were able to reach from zero percent charge at 30 minutes and 60 minutes.
They found the OnePlus 5T reached the most battery charge out of the devices tested at the half hour and hour markers.After 30 minutes of charging, the OnePlus 5T had reached 59 percent charge and by an hour had hit 93 percent charge.The second-placed LG V30 had hit 53 percent charge after 30 minutes and 86 percent charge after 60 minutes.The third-placed Apple iPhone X in comparison had hit 50 percent charge after 30 minutes and 81 percent charge after an hour.
